City of San Diego Criticizes Itself For Not Conserving More Water

I have been meaning for weeks to compare different types of yards that are conservation friendly. I.e., dead lawns, dirt, rocks, succulents, or that fake grass stuff.

But before I could the Mayor and City government issued a statement yesterday, or today reprimanding San Diego for not conserving water, and issuing a warning about possible fines for excessive water use.

How ironic, considering that I have witnessed major hotel chains, city parks, and even city or goverment entities using more water than private property. Golf courses, for example, must be mantained somewhat for the dignity of the sport. But a government owned building, like the County Jail downtown with it's lush, green lawn and garden decorating it's massively disgusting and ugly gray cement building, has no business using water three or four times an evening. The county Sheriff's also, might take offense to this, since they are not getting raises and, at times, not getting paid overtime after they work it.

Maybe Jerry, and other city officials, would like to put their best foot forward in this regard, and just shut off the fucking water drainage into ridiculous government buildings. And, possibly tourist destinations like hotels, golf courses, other parks, may want to tone down on watering shade trees every 45 minutes.

I don't know. Just a suggestion. I'm a fucking loser with no future, though. So, why would anyone listen to me? I just hope if there is a major wildfire here during whenever the first or second Santa Ana occur, we have enough water to fight it, and enough fire personel to rush back from Gavelston, Texas to save all those overpriced, recently rebuilt homes in Rancho Bernardo from burning to the ground AGAIN.

Your eternal optimist,

Benny
