Homeless Task Force Takes Well Needed Rest

There were no public City Council meetings, or Task Force meetings for the entire month of August, and now, as I learned through email last week, the Homeless Task Force is not going to have it's first return meeting until sometime at the beginning of October.



Since friends and family of mine are so concerned with my well being, I would hope all of you also consider the dangers of being homeless if a person does not own a vehicle. It is becoming increasingly dangerous for people to live outdoors in urban areas, and still the city government refuses to take the situation seriously.



For some reason, still, even after the pension deficit scandal, and other abuses of power by city officials, our city government continues to elect, hire, and reward members of our community that only care about increasing a profit margin for themselves and their business partners to the ultimate detriment of all city and county taxpayers.



I can't even find out who the citizen representatives are that the city hired to help the Task Force with this problem. If you go onto the city government website the Homeless Task Force is not even listed under the "Task Force" link button that does bring up the other three Task Force groups.



Also, my emails are frequently flagged, or blocked to certain city government emails making it impossible for me to know if people I am emailing are receiving my, and probably other people's questions and concerns about these problems. Including, my emails to the City Attorney's office that still has a pending "Suspicion Of Being Under The Influence" charge against me, even though my piss test came up negative for ANY illegal substances.



Is this blacklisting? I'm too young to remember the McCarthy Era. Possibly, someone who does remember that decade can let me know if government ignorance of corruption, greed, and decay, along with police harassment of people who disagree with the status Quo is at all reminiscent?
